De Brauw appoints Heather Giannandrea, Eva Schram, René van Tricht and Jan-Willem Meijer as counsel as of 1 January 2019. These appointments further enhance De Brauw's capability in assisting its clients with their Dutch and international complex legal issues.
Heather Giannandrea (39) specialises in corporate law and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions. Heather has advised on domestic and cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and private equity investments in a broad range of industries, for domestic and international corporate clients, private equity funds and commercial banks.
Eva Schram (38) specialises in in Dutch and EU financial markets regulation and pension law, regularly advising banks, insurances companies and pension providers on a broad range of regulatory matters, including their sound and prudent business operations, duty of care, outsourcing and governance. Eva also has extensive experience in assisting both pension funds and employers in complex pension transition processes.
René van Tricht (37) specialises in commercial litigation and international arbitration. René is an experienced litigator in contract and liability disputes, in the Dutch courts and in (cross-border) arbitrations under the ICC and UNCITRAL Rules. René has extensive experience with complex and large scale mass claims and class actions against national and international corporates, including claims/action about alleged unfair trade practices, alleged misleading shareholder information and cartel damages. René also advises on a broad range of contract and procurement law issues.
Jan-Willem Meijer (41) specialises in corporate, commercial and Supreme Court litigation. He acts on behalf of Dutch and international financial institutions and corporate clients. Before joining the litigation practice group, Jan-Willem was with De Brauw's Investment Management Group, during which time he advised financial institutions, corporate and government bodies on fund management.
