Assisting ASML in litigation before the Dutch Committee on Human Rights. The matter relates to ASML's hiring policy. ASML does not hire employees from certain countries for specific roles, in order to comply with US-export controls legislation. RADAR, a foundation aimed at combating and preventing discrimination (in employment relations), claims that ASML's policy is in breach of Dutch equal treatment legislation as it amounts to discrimination based on nationality.
On 16 June 2023, the Committee on Human Rights ruled in favor of ASML and held that the company may refuse job applicants on the basis of their nationality when required to do so by US export control rules.
