Lennard is a partner in De Brauw’s Corporate/M&amp;A practice, and head of the private equity practice. He acts for Dutch and international private equity firms on their acquisitions and exit transactions, as well for other matters throughout the investment period. In addition, Lennard regularly acts for founders and family-owned companies who wish to sell their company or to partner with private equity. He is often consulted for his expertise in governance arrangements between shareholders, private equity funds and co-investors, including minority investments by private equity and in warranty &amp; indemnity insurance and management participation plans.
Lennard is recognised as a leader in his field, as also confirmed by Legal 500 (‘Hall of Fame’ for Private Equity) and Chambers. Lennard was nominated as one of six lawyers for the Dutch Best M&amp;A Lawyer Award each year as from 2020 and won the award in 2021 and 2023.

Geert is a partner in our Litigation group and co-heads our Data protection and cybersecurity practice. He covers all facets of data protection law in the EU and beyond. Bas specialises in general banking, finance and restructuring matters - his recent Executive Master in Finance demonstrates his deep knowledge of corporate finance that goes beyond the legal aspects of matters. Bas' practice covers the full spectrum of finance and capital markets transactions, and often involves highly complex and multi-faceted cross-border matters. He has taken leading roles in negotiating large (sustainability-linked) corporate credit facilities, implementing acquisition financing arrangements for transformative acquisitions and designing comprehensive capital restructurings both in- and outside of distressed situations.
