Lennard is a partner in De Brauw’s Corporate/M&amp;A practice, and head of the private equity practice. He acts for Dutch and international private equity firms on their acquisitions and exit transactions, as well on other matters throughout the investment period. In addition, Lennard regularly acts for founders and family-owned companies who wish to sell their company or to partner with private equity. He is often consulted for his expertise in governance arrangements between shareholders, private equity funds and co-investors, including minority investments by private equity, and in warranty &amp; indemnity insurance and management participation plans.
Lennard is recognised as a leader in his field, as also confirmed by Legal 500 (‘Hall of Fame’ for Private Equity) and Chambers. Lennard was nominated as one of six lawyers for the Dutch Best M&amp;A Lawyer Award each year as from 2020 and won the award in 2021 and 2023.
Lennard played an important role in establishing De Brauw’s Singapore office.

Sebastian specialises in international commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation. He has acted as counsel for several listed companies and large multinational corporations in arbitral proceedings under the ICC and NAI rules, as well as in proceedings before Dutch courts.
Before joining the Litigation team, Sebastian was part of De Brauw's Finance &amp; Restructuring team, where he gained significant experience in corporate finance, with a focus on international debt restructuring, general banking and capital markets. Sebastian has advised listed corporates, private equity investors and financial institutions and worked with leading independent law firms on cross-border transactions and debt restructurings.
Sebastian also regularly lectures on international corporate governance and ESG topics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Henk specialises in tax and corporate law and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions and private equity structuring. Since joining De Brauw, Henk has advised numerous multinationals and private equity clients on public and private transactions, leveraged buy-outs, complex cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, financings and refinancings, and the structuring of management incentive plans.
Legal 500 has recognised Henk as a "leading individual", with Chambers stating that Henk is "up and coming". In 2020, 2021 and 2023, Henk was nominated by MenA.nl (the Dutch M&amp;A awards) as Best M&amp;A Tax Adviser, and he won this award in 2024.

Abe is part of De Brauw's financial regulatory team and specialises in investment management and investment funds. As part of this practice, he gives structuring and restructuring advice to retail and private equity funds, and assists regulated managers in a range of financial supervision matters. In addition, Abe is frequently involved in investment and divestment negotiations, including for private equity clients.
Having previously worked in De Brauw's employment and employee benefits practice, Abe is familiar with remuneration rules in a regulated context and often handles questions raised about this subject in the context of transactions.

Bertrand is a senior associate in De Brauw's IP/tech practice group, where he focuses on patents and technology. While he has vast experience in high-end global patent law disputes, he also works in various tech-heavy sectors, such as telecoms, energy, consumer goods and construction. Bertrand regularly represents companies in the life sciences sector in high-profile matters that include infringement and invalidation proceedings before the European Patent Office. He is a registered representative for the Unified Patent Court.
Bertrand regularly advises on IP-heavy M&amp;A transactions, complex R&amp;D collaboration, and other licensing and transferring of IP and technology.
