Matthew specialises in resolving complex international disputes, and has a strong background in arbitrations relating to the energy sector. Matthew has acted as counsel in numerous large arbitrations, with notable experience in construction, LNG-related (including price reviews) and post-M&A disputes. He has also published in the field of investment arbitration.

During 2015-2016, Matthew spent eight months seconded to Royal Dutch Shell in The Hague, working in the LNG Trading sector. His work at Shell focused on supporting the business in the negotiation and drafting of long-term and short-term LNG supply agreements, both with state and private sector entities.
