Michelle has a broad litigation practice, with a particular focus on corporate litigation and commercial disputes. Michelle's expertise includes disputes relating to joint ventures, collaboration agreements and M&A transactions.

Michelle has represented a wide range of Dutch and international clients in legal proceedings before the Dutch courts, including before the Enterprise Chamber in Amsterdam, on complex contractual matters. Michelle also has extensive experience in arbitral proceedings under the rules of arbitration institutions such as the ICC and NAI. In addition, she has been involved in a number of setting-aside proceedings in relation to arbitral awards, as well as recourse and enforcement proceedings.

Michelle's recent experience includes advising and representing:

  • a Dutch company active in the sports industry in inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber
  • a French multinational in squeeze-out proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber
  • a Chinese state-owned enterprise in post-M&A litigation and ICC arbitration, as well as setting-aside proceedings, regarding a USD 2 billion transaction
  • a multinational pharmaceutical company in a commercial dispute with its JV partner
  • a financial institution in a high-value dispute concerning the interpretation of a pension agreement
  • Dutch oil and gas companies in commercial disputes concerning gas storage and capacity before the NAI, ICC and Dutch courts
