Wessel specialises in EU law, focusing on competition law, state aid, free movement and foreign direct investment screening (FDI). In addition to his role as legal adviser at De Brauw, Wessel conducts research and lectures on EU and competition law topics. His PhD research looked at the territorial scope of EU law.
