Law Assistant - Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets

Would you like to gain hands-on experience in our dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets (MACM) practice? If you are available for approximately 15 hours a week alongside your studies, this law assistant position is what you are looking for!

Your role as a law assistant

As a law assistant you will immerse yourself in a dynamic blend of 'know-how' activities and hands-on support for our practice's daily operations. Your role in know-how will involve staying updated on the latest legal trends, contributing to newsletters, and delivering engaging presentations. Additionally, you'll play a part in supporting our team by conducting comprehensive literature and case law research, crafting presentations, creating memos, and conducting research for both internal and external publications.

You will also be able to fully participate in all of our educational and social programmes, whether practice-specific or firmwide.

Our practice

Our MACM practice (combining Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets) provides services to a range of corporate clients and financial institutions on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters. We advise on public and private and public-to-private takeovers, initial public offerings (IPOs), private equity, acquisition finance, and acquisitions and divestments of major Dutch and international corporates and financial institutions active in the Netherlands.

The MACM group is almost always in the lead of corporate project teams, working closely together with other practice groups to advise on all aspects of the transaction, including company, contract , employment, competition, financial and securities law, and regulatory aspects. This multidisciplinary approach is often combined with cross-border aspects that may also require working together with foreign counsel.
