About the role

As a Legal Tech Engineer, you will be part of the Legal Operations department, acting as a bridge between legal and technology. Your role is to stay on top of legal tech developments and identify solutions to improve and/or automate legal processes. You will work closely with both lawyers and clients to ensure the best outcomes. We offer you a dynamic position, involving a wide range of projects and topics such as AI, knowledge management, document automation, client portals, and more.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Providing advice and support to our lawyers and clients on optimizing processes using the right tools;
• Managing and further developing these tools and processes, in cooperation with suppliers and legal teams, to deliver the best possible solutions;
• Collaborating with lawyers, clients, and colleagues from other departments (e.g., legal project management, data science, IT) to map legal processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions;
• Investigating new technological developments, such as legal tech, generative AI, knowledge management, and data science, for potential application in our practice;
• Promoting the use of tools and new methods within the organization, including giving presentations on possibilities and providing user training.

The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, or equivalent work experience in a legal environment;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally in legal tech or process improvements;
• Experience or strong interest in legal tech, with a desire to further develop in this area;
• A good command of both Dutch and English.
